Ethan Allen at Fort TiconderogaI’ve been engrossed in reading “Revolution” by Eric Metaxas, a comprehensive recount of the Revolutionary War that delves into the providential aspects that underpinned the entire conflict. I’ve completed a third of the book and recently read about the capture of Fort Ticonderoga by Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold. Surprisingly, I found this part quite amusing. I’m at a loss to explain why.

I was at a party a few Sunday ago and someone was having a medical emergency. My friend who was there with me said this to me. He had heard it elsewhere, but that was the first time that that idea was articulated to me like that.
It definitely gives perspective to life. Makes you appreciate the things that you would normally take for granted.
