    What are your favorite websites?

According to my Jetpack app, I have already answered this prompt. Nonetheless, I’ll revise my previous answer and do it again.

As of today, my favorite site to visit is Twitter. It’s a very engaging site where there’s a lot of thoughts encapsulated in those 280 characters (if you do not have the premium version, like me). It is interesting to see what others are thinking and react to news in real time. Other social media sites have that capability, but they are not necessarily text-based.

When I first joined the site 15 years ago, my friends were there and it was another forum to interact with them. Back then, each tweet was limited to 140 characters. The novelty of the application made users capture and distill their thoughts concisely, which was something that I could appreciate and digest.

Unfortunately dating back to several years, I had stopped going on Twitter. It became boring to me. The friends that I would interact with left the Twitterverse and/or I just stopped being in contact with them. Then the 2020 election happened.

I was looking for voices similar to mine to help me refine (and in some cases, validate) my line of thinking. There was a lot going on at the time, most notably the lockdowns. The chance to interact and fellowship with other people in person was severely curtailed. However, Twitter provided a lifeline (somewhat). It gave a channel for connection. That was when I became more engaged on that social media network.

I discovered those voices that were similar to mine and gave me a lifeline. It also helped me to stay in touch with the latest news. I regularly check my Twitter account even to this day and is quite the favorite of mine.

The next challenge for me and Twitter is how I can effectively monetize my presence on there. There should be no excuse for me now to take advantage of the potential opportunities that Twitter provides. There might be an audience for voices like mine.

    Who knows?

The next time this daily prompt comes around, I hope to have a better answer and clearer writing style for you, the reader.

    Cheers.

    PS: Here’s my previous answer.

I like this slogan of Dream Big Again with Donald Trump. This is unlike the Hope motto that was associated with the Obama campaign in 2008 in that the president has a track record of doing what he promised.

Obama did NOT have that and was able to ride his way to victory based on a vapid campaign that mainly appealed to the youth vote and weak Republican opponent(s).

This year will be different. The author of this blog prays for all those voting this year and for free, fair, and legitimate results for all the candidates and proposition on the ballot.

I’m trying something for the first time soon. It is a scary feeling, one that induces paralysis. You know those thoughts, am I doing it right? What if I get it wrong? Will I be able to grow? Will it be perfect?

The answer to all those questions is probably “No, it won’t be perfect but you must try.” That’s the thing that holds me back personally.

Nonetheless that’s the essence of faith. Stepping out, believing that God will turn you into the right direction even if it is not perfect.Seeking perfection is the paralysis.

With that being said, stay tuned for big things in the horizon.

You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?

This is a good one because there are so many possibilities. First one would be wisdom to make the right decision at the right time. The second would be great health for the rest of my life. The third would be unlimited wishes.

This is excellence captured in basketball form. There is a reason why he is the Greatest of All-Time. Records are made to be broken so I wonder who will the next great to challenge him.

What food would you say is your specialty?

The food that’s my specialty is stir-fry. It’s a very easy dish to prepare. All you need is to grab some ground meat, e.g., turkey or beef, vegetables, and some starch sauce.

Get a frying pan and brown your meat. Once your meat cooked, all you have to do is add your stir-fry sauce (packed with a lot of starch and soy sauce) and simmer with the vegetables. After 10 – 15 minutes you’re done and have a yourself a nice well balanced meal.

    You can thank me later.
