Two Players Miss a dunk in an NBA game -
MJ Mondays – No. 48
Michael Jordan : The Greatest Off-Hand Finisher Ever Courtesy of Ball is Life/Youtube More Michael Jordan appreciation. Lately there was a trend NBA social media to dismiss everything in the previous generations because they weren’t as athletic or smooth with their game. I honestly believe it’s a part of cultural Marxism to make light of the past; undervalue it so it’s worth being forgotten. Then once that is complete, one can point to the present as unprecedented and record-breaking.
However, one cannot dismiss Michael Jordan’s prominence during his career in the NBA. There were too many exploits to diminish. His peers acknowledged the ferocity and competitiveness of his teams. LeBron James, who I currently consider one of the best players in the game (even at 39 at the time of this writing) looked up to Michael Jordan as his model while he was growing up.
The latest trope is to claim that Jordan was a very one-dimensional player who was just a skilled player of his time instead of a transcendent athlete. This is the motivation behind the claim that Jordan could only finish with his right hand.
The video convincingly dispels that notion. I hope that you enjoy.

DuoLingo Progess

DuoLingo Diamond Tournament Badge After all these years, I finally won the DuoLingo Diamond Tournament. I managed to place in the top 10 of the tournament for the past three weeks.
Surprisingly, it’s highly competitive. I wouldn’t suggest doing this unless you really enjoy learning languages and putting in the time to work at it. It can be a real drain if you’re not engaged with it.
With that said, I’m thankful to have accomplished something significant in my learning journey. Now it’s onto the next week of learning in DuoLingo.

Words of Wisdom
I was working out at the gym yesterday, and I met another attendee who happened to be a believer in Christ, i.e., a Christian. He had told me some things about his walk in the Lord and his background. (He even gave me an exercise to help me with my mobility.)
Before we parted ways he gave me a list that I found very helpful. Maybe this will help you in life.
8 Ways that God Speaks
- The Word*
- The Holy Spirit
- People
- Situation/Circumstances
- Patterns
- Dreams
- Visions
- Angels (ministering spirits)
*In your spiritual walk with the Lord, knowing the Word, i.e., reading and meditating on the Bible is of paramount importance. God’s will is His Word. He will not speak against His Word.

The Daily Prompt – No. 167
What makes you laugh?
Usually my friends make me laugh. They do by cracking a funny joke or it’s by something they have (implicitly) endorsed (e.g., through a comedic post sent via an Instagram DM).

The Daily Prompt – No. 166
How would you improve your community?
Simple. Tell them to get engaged in local civics by giving them the true history of this nation. Then I’d tell them vote.
This is very simple explanation, but I’ll expound further on this.

The Daily Prompt – No. 165
What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?
I’ve been playing with the morning ritual to optimize my time recently. This is the latest version of the routine, but these things are subject to change.
Whenever I wake up, I just say little prayer and say “Good morning” and give thanks to the Lord. I hit the bathroom right after to use it then do my daily weigh-in. Once done, I grab a liter of water and down it before start to do my Bible reading.
While reading, I’ll pray, meditate, and write in my journal. Whatever is on my mind I try to flush it out through the writing. Post-writing, I’ll hit the bathroom to flush out that liter of water that I had earlier. Finally I’m ready to hit the gym and get my workout on.
That’s a brief recap of my typical first hour. I don’t always follow this to a “T”. I do deviate a bit but I try to adhere to it so that I can get a good start to my day.
