  • Something to Remember

The assassination of Charlie Kirk yesterday is troubling, no doubt. Calamity and trouble will fill the news cycles day after day. In these times, I have to bring myself back to the Word of God. To find stability. Peace. Calm.

““Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me….Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.”
    ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬, ‭27‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

Don’t let your heart be troubled.

  • The Daily Prompt – No. 23

    What makes you most anxious?

When I’m unable to complete a task or when something doesn’t go exactly as planned. I feel like I’m a perfectionist.

For example. I’ve gotten into learning code for the past 3 years. For the past 3 years I’ve been on the same program. I’ve made some progress but not enough to be proficient.

I was supposed to be done at the end of 2020 or early 2021 but I haven’t prioritized it like I should. Other things have gotten in my way. I hate doing that. That gets me anxious.

Now the post script I have to learn how to trust God in this matter. To cast my cares on because He cares for me.
