What do you think is the future of AI?
I was talking about this topic the other day with a friend. I believe that AI is a great disruptor, a game changer, if you will. It’s a great equalizer; it gives access to a super-intelligent program ready to assist the user.
I am highly optimistic about its potential capabilities. I use it now to help me write, learn languages, and organize projects. I’ve made progress with my personal goals using AI.
In a sense, AI is like money. It’s an amplifier. If you are a poor steward with little money then you may be a poor steward with more money. If you’re poor in your habits without AI, you may be poor in your habits with AI.
My concern is that there’s a great temptation to rely on it for direction in all things. This is where having a healthy relationship with God is paramount, because it provides a framework for interacting with creation. It’s supposed to be God first: seeking His wisdom, following His principles, and discerning His will. Then everything else falls in line, including AI. If anything else takes that place, there is disorder and chaos ensues.
AI is a great tool to amplify my efforts, organize my projects, and develop new skills. But if I don’t check myself, it can be a great self-disruptor.
