Where is the best place to watch the sunset near you?
I live in Manhattan so the best place would be darn near anywhere on the west side of the island. To be more specific, I fancy the High Line for the views that it offers in the Hells Kitchen/Chelsea area of the Manhattan.
Manhattanhenge is a great event to watch the sunset during the summer. It happens when the setting sun aligns perfectly with the western horizon when viewed looking through the corridors that are made by the buildings on the city streets. Since the east and west grid off by about 20 degrees, the alignment of the setting sun happens twice, once in June and the other in July.
It’s a cool feature of living in the city. Take time to check it out.
