Physical Health is Spiritual Responsibility

“I would also say this, that Romans 12.1 says we need to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable or pleasing to God. And one translation says this is your spiritual act of worship. And then in Corinthians, it says that don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?

My spirit dwells in you. Therefore, honor God with your body and your spirit. Now, I know in the verses preceding that and post seeding that they’re talking about prostitution and promiscuity, but it is the same thing.

And I know there’s a scripture in, I believe, John that was added much later that says, what goes into a man’s mouth doesn’t make him unclean, but what comes out of a man’s mouth, thus Jesus declared all foods clean. First of all, there’s a definition problem there because God never meant for trash to be food regardless. So Chelsea is a great question.

And I believe it physical health is our spiritual responsibility because we can determine how long we live and how well we serve God while we’re in this body. Our body is not perfected until eternity. And I think[…]”
