  • Verse of the Day

“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone. “Watch out, stay alert; for you do not know when the appointed time is. It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay alert. Therefore, stay alert—for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— so that he does not come suddenly and find you asleep. What I say to you I say to all: ‘Stay alert!’ ””
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭13‬:‭32‬-‭37‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

The Master mentions “Stay Alert” three times in this passage. We have to be mindful of what’s going on around us and use wisdom. This applies to the second coming of Jesus and to our everyday lives.

There’s no excuse for being oblivious. It goes against this teaching as written in the scripture.

  • Verse of the Day

“Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. “But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”

  • Verse of the Day

“People prepare a meal for enjoyment, wine makes life joyful, and money is the answer to everything.
    ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭10‬:‭19‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

    Dear reader,

I know that I had posted this verse before, but I was so surprised to find this in the Bible. This is so pragmatic and succinct. Money is the answer. A lot of problems in the world are because of a lack of money. Thus, it’s no wonder that the love of money (not money itself) is the root of all evil.

I’ve read the Bible several times over in my life, but there’s always something new (if you keep your heart open for it). It’s rich with revelation.

The Word of God keeps it real. Always and forever.
