Here’s a good biblical devotional teaching from Rick Warren on why we procrastinate. This is worth a read.
“I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.]”
Philippians 4:13 AMP
“For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.”
Proverbs 15:15 NLT

It’s all about the state of your heart. This is where all the issues of life start.
“And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?”
Luke 16:12 NLT

What book could you read over and over again?
I would say the Bible particularly the book of Proverbs. It’s only 31 chapters so one could read a chapter that corresponds to that day of month. (E.g., read chapter 11 on 4/11.). There’s a lot of wisdom in that book and it was mostly written by the richest man that ever lived, King Solomon.
“Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve.”
Colossians 3:23-24 AMP

This has been on my mind for quite a bit lately. I need to step up my efforts in all facets. Can’t afford to be lackluster especially if it’s not for me but for others.
For out of His fullness [the superabundance of His grace and truth] we have all received grace upon grace [spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift heaped upon gift].
John 1:16 AMP

“So prepare your minds for action and exercise self-control. Put all your hope in the gracious salvation that will come to you when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world.”
1 Peter 1:13 NLT
Most of my life I feel like I’ve been on autopilot. I haven’t been utilizing the mind God has given me. Even so, I’ve gotten to be in some great institutions and amongst some great people. This is encouragement to get engaged and be aware.
PS: This isn’t a photo post, but I figured this is the most appropriate place since this is my blog. Twitter allows only so many characters.
Until next time.
