The assassination of Charlie Kirk yesterday is troubling, no doubt. Calamity and trouble will fill the news cycles day after day. In these times, I have to bring myself back to the Word of God. To find stability. Peace. Calm.
““Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me….Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.” John 14:1, 27 NASB2020 https://bible.com/bible/2692/jhn.14.1-27.NASB2020
“For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they do not make you useless nor unproductive in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8 NASB2020 https://bible.com/bible/2692/2pe.1.8.NASB2020
“Now behold, with great pains I have prepared for the house of the Lord a hundred thousand talents of gold and a million talents of silver, and bronze and iron beyond measure, for they are in great quantity; I have also prepared timber and stone, and you may add to that.”
1 Chronicles 22:14 NASB2020
David was a prosperous man and a generous benefactor.
