  • MJ Mondays – No. 120

    https://www.shoepalace.com/blogs/all/the-history-of-the-air-jordan-18

These are one of my favorite Jordans. And these are one of the few editions that he wore on court AFTER playing with the Chicago Bulls. He was past his physical prime but the name, Jordan, his legacy was still ascending.

Note that the original colorway is white and royal blue not white and red.

  • The Daily Prompt – No. 277

What positive emotion do you feel most often?

I had to look at several web articles just to get some clarity on what are positive emotions. Here is an example. There are many options to choose.

I would go with “altruism”. I enjoy giving and serving people.

  • Determination by Kanye

When it feel like living’s harder than dyin’

For me, givin’ up’s way harder than tryin’

    Kanye West – Champion

I love this account of determination from Kanye. Never give up. I need to reach the next level of resilience in my life just like how he was able to achieve billionaire status (before his public fall). But who knows? His bounceback might be one of the greatest in modern pop culture.

By the way, Kanye is still a lyrical and musical genius.

  • Tweet of the Day

    From the TheLastRefuge2 on Twitter

I don’t know if I had mentioned this before but I was a fan of the original constraint that Twitter had when it was introduced to the public. Each tweet could not be more than 140 characters and there was no retweet function. Now tweets can read like blog posts. This totally messes up the flow of Twitter. You might as well blog on your own site or get a Tumblr or WordPress account.

With that rant out of the day you should read this brilliant breakdown of the Wall Streer versus Main Street dynamic when it comes the methodology behind each profit measuring.

The Definition of Original Aura: Michael Jordan

The Swag and presence of Michael Jordan is immeasurable.

  • How You Do Anything

    https://www.startupbell.net/post/how-you-do-anything-is-how-you-do-everything-the-philosophy-that-could-transform-your-life

Personally this means I need to bring more attentiveness to everything I do. Because whether it’s big or small, it matters.

  • The Great Switch

“You know, there has been a transition historically in the 20th century, there was a major transition where the black community that voted pretty much exclusively Republican, there was a transition over many, many decades where a lot of the black population left the Republican Party and joined the Democrat Party. And this is why people today would argue, well, there was a great switch, right?

There was this, there was this defining moment when the political parties both decided they were going to switch and they were going to be the other party, which of course is silly for lots and lots of reasons. But there was a transition of black voters that were voting Republican to voting Democrat. And part of that happens under FDR when you’re going through the Great Depression and FDR opens some of the food and soup kitchens, because there’s many people that were in dire need that shifted over their support to Democrats.”
