Discover How Gratitude Journaling Creates Focus on God’s Word

I’m a big proponent of writing things that you are grateful for every day. It creates a mind shift on the things that are good. Also this is God’s will that we give thanks in all things. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)

If you didn’t need sleep, what would you do with all the extra time?

I’d probably work out or enroll in a class to learn a skill.

  • Happy Thanksgiving

“in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.”

  • The Daily Prompt – No. 294

If you could meet a historical figure, who would it be and why?

    George Washington

These are some the questions I would ask:

    • What made you step down after 2 terms as president?
    • What was it like fighting against the strongest military power in the world?
    • What gave you that unction in your heart that you were going to prevail against the British?
    • How much did you believe in the American experiment? How much longer did you think it would last?
    • Why did you believe in God?

    Amongst many other questions.

  • Rewards of Risk

“This parable tells you God rewards risk and punishes insecurity. The guy who was afraid of making a mistake was punished, but the people that took a chance were rewarded. So God rewards risk.

The parable is meant to discourage fear of making a mistake and trade it off for trying to do something and seeing what happens. Boy, it got quiet in this Presbyterian church fest. All right, so now I want to go to the King James.

The King James is where it really comes alive for me, where Jesus says, so he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minus, and he says, occupy. He called his ten servants, delivered them to ten pounds, and said to them, occupy till I come. Everybody say, occupy till I come.

This is a parable for the end time Christian who is expecting Jesus to come back at any minute, and he’s saying, I’m going to reward you that are engaged with transactions, and I’m going to increase to you power over territory. And when I come back, I’m going to reward you with jurisdiction that is going to be in my administration over territory on the earth[…]”

This takes risk taking to the next level. I need to take the risk. It’s walking in faith. Trusting God.

There’s so much more to write about this. Stay tuned.

    Seen in Brooklyn

I like the advert. I forgot exactly where this was but it was not too far from the Barclays Center. I immediately thought of the West Indian parade held every Labor Day along Eastern Parkway.
