What part of your routine do you always try to skip if you can?
Every part of my routine is important. However, my routine that I would want to skip is going to the gym in the morning. It’s an essential part of my daily maintenance. But I have to commute there and back. Fortunately when I get my Elon Musk money, I will have a gym in headquarters or have access to a building with gym in the building. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about the commute!
A pet is good because it can provide companionship for those who are lonely and in need of some living comfort. Pets also require a certain level of care in that they need to be fed, sheltered, and given the opportunity to make waste. They also have the ability to communicate their appreciation, which would allow for their caretakers to find appreciation.
Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.
The holiday that I would love to see celebrated in these United States is Constitution Day on September 17th. This would commemorate the ratification of the U.S. Constitution in 1787, which was made official by the delegation from Delaware.
There are have been resolutions to make this an official holiday, but it has not been really enforced. It’s important to remember where we came from as country. Originally this country was composed as 13 colonies under British governance.
The abuses and violations that were suffered by the colonialists created the atmosphere in which the Founding Fathers determined that their lives would be better under a new authority. Self-rule as determined by the citizens. It was an experiment in governance unlike the world had ever seen. This was an exercise given by Providence to get them to that point.
The holiday would commemorate the struggle that ensued after the Declaration of Independence. It was not a fait accompli that the British would give up their power and the resources of North America willingly to the upstart colonialists. Victory was achieved by Providence over a long, hard War for Independence over 7 years that cost many their lives, fortune, and sacred honor.
It would behoove us now as citizens living under the decisions made by those brave souls to break from the greatest power in the world and to form a new nation. It was not perfect after the debacle of the Articles of Confederation. The founders humbled themselves under God to get through the disagreements and conflicts that arose in creating this new nation. Everything could have been lost, and the nation could have been balkanized. However, a constitutional republic arose with God’s guidance and thankfully it is still in its 237th year in existence.
No other nation has enjoyed the stability and prosperity provided by this founding document. We should take the time to honor it and continue to do what we can remember the struggle in creating the government as dictated by our constitution and preserve it for the next generation.
PS: I forgot to mention how we should celebrate it. It should be like Independence Day with American paraphernalia displayed everywhere. It would be a time of rejoicing! The constitution should be read in all the capitals of the United States if not in every town or city.
*Yes. It is No. 243. It appears that I skipped that number while I was doing my daily prompts over the week. It is not in sequential order, and I hope that the reader can forgive me.
