How do you unwind after a demanding day?

Sometimes I eat. I tend to grab on whatever I have in my cupboard and munch. Normally I’ll have a container of trail mix there. I get a couple of handfuls, sit in front of my laptop and play a couple of highlight reels of a few of my favorite players.

How do you use social media?

I just use social media for fun. It’s not directed for any hard core promotion of any materials. I don’t use it for impressions or likes; I use it just to express myself. Maybe I should use it for promos.

While we are this topic let me remind you that I do have some sponsorships that you should be aware. All the information is on this page. If you manage to look and make a purchase, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

    Blah blah blah blah

  • The Daily Prompt – No. 42

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

A major decision that’s helped me with my personal growth is having a morning routine. Being consistent has always been a struggle for me. I remember when I was young my dad would give me a datebook to help me plan my days in advance. But I could never keep up with it.

Having a morning routine gives me a sense of discipline, consistency, and accomplishment for the day. This is true, especially when I workout. (When those endorphins hit, I feel like I’m on a new level.)

My normal morning routine consists of:

    • Prayer/Meditation
    • Writing in a journal
    • Read for a couple of minutes.
    • Exercise
    • Listening to a sermon or a faith building podcast

I don’t do each one perfectly. But if I can’t get it done in the morning, then I’ll make it a point to accomplish each item later in the day. if you don’t have one, try it out. It may work for you.

Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

Back when I was in college I started doing working for the university catering company as a part time gig. A couple of buddies and I got put on by one of our mutual friends. The hours were sometimes wacky and the perks were nice (e.g., free food, wine).

However I needed to get a tuxedo to work the main events and I didn’t have the money to get one. Enter my aunt. She loaned me the money to buy a tux and it helped me a lot. I could work the gigs. I paid her back with my first paycheck that I got.

There are other instances of family helping me out but this was the first one that came to mind.

Highlights from Michael Jordan’s 1st Championship Season
  • MJ’s Kicks with the Wizards

Today while doing some research I found out that Michael Jordan (who believe is the GOAT of profesional basketball) played his last NBA game with the Washington Wizards. No, it wasn’t with the Chicago Bulls. As a matter of fact, that team didn’t even make the playoffs.

He was playing professional basketball at the highest level at ages 38-40 while averaging more than 20 ppg. That is nothing short of impressive. This all the more adds to his legacy.

But I wanted to focus on his shoes. He is the model of the ultimate performance and casual sneaker collection nowadays. (Even several years after his tenure with the Bulls. The Air Jordan 17 and 18 were some dope models. They may not be as hot compared to the earlier models (e.g., 6s and 7s) but they deserve some recognition.

Here’s a link to a Sole Collector listicle that investigates MJ’s choice of sneakers during his time with the Wizards. Take a read.
