What do you do to be involved in the community?

I volunteer. For the years I volunteered at my local church. Now I also do that for one of the clubs that I’m a part of.

Volunteering is great because you’re sowing seeds of service that will grow into a larger harvest later in life.

What’s a job you would like to do for just one day?

    Intriguing question.

If it’s just for one day then I would choose to be an astronaut who’s going on a mission to explore space. I imagine sight that i would see would be breathtaking and majestic. How many people can say that there were in outer space outside the earth’s atmosphere?

When do you feel most productive?

I’m a night owl and an early bird. (I know that these two conditions don’t jive. I am working to correct this.)

However, I’m the most productive in the morning. Normally, I make my bed, meditate (and/or pray) and then workout in the morning. Nothing is more invigorating than that. Then I’m ready to tackle the day.

Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

    Let’s go with:

    • Volunteering for my local church.
    • Joining the local YR club.
    • Moving out of my dad’s place.

Those three have had a significant impact in my life. I do not regret those decisions and I actually thank God for leading me in that direction. I’ll expound on each one in a later post.

How do you unwind after a demanding day?

Sometimes I eat. I tend to grab on whatever I have in my cupboard and munch. Normally I’ll have a container of trail mix there. I get a couple of handfuls, sit in front of my laptop and play a couple of highlight reels of a few of my favorite players.

How do you use social media?

I just use social media for fun. It’s not directed for any hard core promotion of any materials. I don’t use it for impressions or likes; I use it just to express myself. Maybe I should use it for promos.

While we are this topic let me remind you that I do have some sponsorships that you should be aware. All the information is on this page. If you manage to look and make a purchase, it would be greatly appreciated.

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

A major decision that’s helped me with my personal growth is having a morning routine. Being consistent has always been a struggle for me. I remember when I was young my dad would give me a datebook to help me plan my days in advance. But I could never keep up with it.

Having a morning routine gives me a sense of discipline, consistency, and accomplishment for the day. This is true, especially when I workout. (When those endorphins hit, I feel like I’m on a new level.)

My normal morning routine consists of:

    • Prayer/Meditation
    • Writing in a journal
    • Read for a couple of minutes.
    • Exercise
    • Listening to a sermon or a faith building podcast

I don’t do each one perfectly. But if I can’t get it done in the morning, then I’ll make it a point to accomplish each item later in the day. if you don’t have one, try it out. It may work for you.

Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

Back when I was in college I started doing working for the university catering company as a part time gig. A couple of buddies and I got put on by one of our mutual friends. The hours were sometimes wacky and the perks were nice (e.g., free food, wine).

However I needed to get a tuxedo to work the main events and I didn’t have the money to get one. Enter my aunt. She loaned me the money to buy a tux and it helped me a lot. I could work the gigs. I paid her back with my first paycheck that I got.

There are other instances of family helping me out but this was the first one that came to mind.
