What food would you say is your specialty?

The food that’s my specialty is stir-fry. It’s a very easy dish to prepare. All you need is to grab some ground meat, e.g., turkey or beef, vegetables, and some starch sauce.

Get a frying pan and brown your meat. Once your meat cooked, all you have to do is add your stir-fry sauce (packed with a lot of starch and soy sauce) and simmer with the vegetables. After 10 – 15 minutes you’re done and have a yourself a nice well balanced meal.

    You can thank me later.

What are your favorite types of foods?

My favorite type of foods are Italian and Chinese cuisine. In most of their dishes there is a rich broth or sauce that accompanies the meal, which I tend to relish and main source of a carbohydrate (e.g., rice or pasta).

For Italian cuisine, my favorite is lasagna, a dish (when it’s done right) has a rich sauce that is layered with the many levels of lasagna noodles, cheese, and meat. My dad first introduced me to this dish and I thank for it to this day.

For Chinese, my favorite has been Beef and Broccoli. The name is self explanatory but there is a sauce that mostly based on corn starch that is so good. When I was in college I would typically ask for extra sauce and drink the excess. I have since matured.

Now I try to limit the calories therefore limit the sauces in my meals. I want to preserve my body for many years to come.

  • Nene’s Taqueria – Food Review

Lately, my friends have been sending me posts on Instagram of various people doing food reviews at food shops and restaurants. One of these places that caught my eye was one of Nene’s Taqueria in Brooklyn. IAM and I took a trip there last night.

We got there around 8 p.m. The place was packed with customers waiting for their orders and those consuming their selections. Also, since it was early spring, the weather was nice but wasn’t warm enough to dine outside.

Nene’s is known for their variety of birria dishes. We decided to get the birria pizza and ramen. They were able to translate the typical birria cuisine and flavor into an unorthodox presentation like the “pizza” which really is a big quesadilla, and into a noodle soup with a rich broth.

On a scale of “1” to “5”, with whole integers and “3” out of the question, I would give Nene’s Taqueria a 4. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the next one.
