Did you know about this phenomenon? I’ve heard and read many pieces of media (articles, and video clips) about the regular Manhattanhenge. However, it seems that there is one of the sunrise too.
Since it hinges around the winter solstice (which occurred on December 21st), one of the dates has passed to see the sunrise line up with the city grid. Fortunately, there is still time to see it for this season.
According to this article, it will occur on January 11th. It seems as if the best streets to witness Manhattanhenge in the summer are the best streets in the winter too. Be sure to check it out!

I tried to get a good shot of the western horizon, and I did. However the clouds got in the way of the sunset. This was the best one available.
