LeBron is a great player and has had a successful career in basketball but in terms of accolades and poise on the court, Michael Jordan is way ahead.

I normally don’t do throwback Thursdays, but I’ll make an exception for this tweet. This is a pure basketball moment.
This is art.
Great shot by the photographer.

A Reddit user compiled a list of LeBron fans who watch Michael Jordan highlights and become converted into Michael Jordan/GOAT fans. This is really cool.
Fandom is typically subjective, but I don’t understand how you can NOT say that MJ is the greatest. Look at his achievements. The most impressive is that he bookended his first retirement with 2 different 3-peats. I don’t know how that gets topped.
Records are meant to be broken but I haven’t not seen that happen yet when it comes to professional basketball.
This list pretty good. Check it out at the link above. I’m going through them myself. It is really entertaining.
Let me know what you think.
What do you think since LeBron joined the Philadelphia 76ers last week?

In your opinion, what does a player need to do in order to surpass Michael Jordan?
This is not the typical post that lauds Michael Jordan for his accomplishments in basketball and impact in the culture.
I got this question from the NBATalk subreddit. But it created the need for a metric, an ideal, for a player to surpass in order to be considered greater than MJ.
To date, no player in the author’s mind. has come close. Bill Russell has the closest body of work that could compare in magnitude with his 11 championships as a player and coach. However his impact is not as great in the culture as Michael Jordan. (See the Nike subsidiary, Jordan brand, and his other endorsements.)
What do you think someone needs to do in order to surpass MJ?

The Knicks are NBA champions! What a tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations to the entire organization.
Im very happy to see a team that I’ve supported since a kid win it all. And they broke a 53-year drought!

By the way the Knicks are up 2-0! They are 2 wins away from being NBA champions!
