How do you unwind after a demanding day?

Sometimes I eat. I tend to grab on whatever I have in my cupboard and munch. Normally I’ll have a container of trail mix there. I get a couple of handfuls, sit in front of my laptop and play a couple of highlight reels of a few of my favorite players.

How do you use social media?

I just use social media for fun. It’s not directed for any hard core promotion of any materials. I don’t use it for impressions or likes; I use it just to express myself. Maybe I should use it for promos.

While we are this topic let me remind you that I do have some sponsorships that you should be aware. All the information is on this page. If you manage to look and make a purchase, it would be greatly appreciated.

Describe a decision you made in the past that helped you learn or grow.

A major decision that’s helped me with my personal growth is having a morning routine. Being consistent has always been a struggle for me. I remember when I was young my dad would give me a datebook to help me plan my days in advance. But I could never keep up with it.

Having a morning routine gives me a sense of discipline, consistency, and accomplishment for the day. This is true, especially when I workout. (When those endorphins hit, I feel like I’m on a new level.)

My normal morning routine consists of:

    • Prayer/Meditation
    • Writing in a journal
    • Read for a couple of minutes.
    • Exercise
    • Listening to a sermon or a faith building podcast

I don’t do each one perfectly. But if I can’t get it done in the morning, then I’ll make it a point to accomplish each item later in the day. if you don’t have one, try it out. It may work for you.

Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

Back when I was in college I started doing working for the university catering company as a part time gig. A couple of buddies and I got put on by one of our mutual friends. The hours were sometimes wacky and the perks were nice (e.g., free food, wine).

However I needed to get a tuxedo to work the main events and I didn’t have the money to get one. Enter my aunt. She loaned me the money to buy a tux and it helped me a lot. I could work the gigs. I paid her back with my first paycheck that I got.

There are other instances of family helping me out but this was the first one that came to mind.

What’s the most fun way to exercise?

This answer may be based on the fact that I play basketball a lot but a good challenging game of 5 on 5 is a great workout. There’s nothing like jumping, cutting, shooting, shuffling, running, and sprinting, etc., all to put an orange ball through a hoop. I always tend to loose like 1 or 2 lbs from the cardio that I get from several games. Not that losing weight is a great metric of fitness but, man, it is a thrill and sometimes an exhausting feeling.

What book could you read over and over again?

I would say the Bible particularly the book of Proverbs. It’s only 31 chapters so one could read a chapter that corresponds to that day of month. (E.g., read chapter 11 on 4/11.). There’s a lot of wisdom in that book and it was mostly written by the richest man that ever lived, King Solomon.

What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?

It would have to basketball, specifically American basketball. I grew up in the age where they started allowing NBA players to participate in the Olympics, starting with the Dream Team in 1992.

I’m American, so I like to watch the sports that Americans dominate in. Let’s add track and field to this category.
