Walk with speed.
Both from my dad.

What are your favorite types of foods?
My favorite type of foods are Italian and Chinese cuisine. In most of their dishes there is a rich broth or sauce that accompanies the meal, which I tend to relish and main source of a carbohydrate (e.g., rice or pasta).
For Italian cuisine, my favorite is lasagna, a dish (when it’s done right) has a rich sauce that is layered with the many levels of lasagna noodles, cheese, and meat. My dad first introduced me to this dish and I thank for it to this day.
For Chinese, my favorite has been Beef and Broccoli. The name is self explanatory but there is a sauce that mostly based on corn starch that is so good. When I was in college I would typically ask for extra sauce and drink the excess. I have since matured.
Now I try to limit the calories therefore limit the sauces in my meals. I want to preserve my body for many years to come.
Have you ever been camping?
I have never been camping. I was born and raised in the city, so there was never a great desire to go explore the great outdoors. However, I do recognize that camping brings you closer to nature and takes you away from the comfort provided by modern technology. Camping makes one less reliant on the shelter provided by brick-and-mortar structures that have easily accessible indoor plumbing and electricity.

Are you holding a grudge? About?
I don’t hold grudges. I think I about the offending party for a bit. Then I realize that instead of internalizing anger towards him (or her), I need to pray for them.
I rather not say, but the issue deals with loyalty and respect.
What makes you most anxious?
This is a very simple prompt. I think the answer is uncertainty. This would be the answer of most rational human beings. Not knowing what the future holds can be the most anxious.
I prefer to think about God and His promises to keep me calm. It doesn’t always work but it’s been of great help to me over the years.

What brings a tear of joy to your eye?
I am not an overtly emotional person. However, if I did cry tears of joy, it would be for a good meal enjoyed in good company.
What TV shows did you watch as a kid?
Growing up, my dad never had cable television so our television watching was limited to whatever the networks had to offer. We would watch a lot of those TV shows. Here’s a list of them:
What do you love about where you live?
I live in New York City. There’s so much opportunity here. And so much that I haven’t taken advantage of.
I believe that by end of this week something big will happen in my life and it’s going to be good.
I don’t know why I’m writing that, but I’m putting it out there. This is a stream-of-consciousness post.
What major historical events do you remember?
September 11, 2001
This happened on the first day of classes my freshman year of college. Very traumatic time. Everyone in my dorm was trying to get to the top floors to see the destruction that was happening live on the TV. Classes were canceled and people were trying to regain a sense of normalcy.
January 26, 2020 – Kobe Bryant’s Passing
I remember where I was when I heard that Kobe Bryant passed away on January 26, 2020. I was at home from serving at church and my buddy from work sent me a link to a TMZ article. I didn’t believe it at first. That was a tremendous loss to the sports world. He had so much more to accomplish but he had accomplished so much in his short life. Yesterday would have been his 46th birthday.
There’s more but those are the most immediate historical occurrences that come to mind.
